Flip & Fold In-Warranty Update
- Thoroughly inspect the device for signs of physical damage. See examples of OOW damage from link in the top right of this page.
- Explain to customer that we will need to run Samsung's testing on the device to verify that there is no history of recorded falls.
- Run IQC and share "Free Fall History" details with the customer
- If there is any history of falls then do not bring this device in as an IW repair.
: dead pixel (puncture), any scratches, scrapes, dings, dents anywhere on the device.
: pristine condition (i.e. no "wear and tear"). UV light can be used to inspect the LCD for cracks (which would make it OOW).
Customer Explanation: This test is sent directly to Samsung as part of the in-warranty repair process. As this device shows it has fallen, we are not able to proceed with an IW repair. You may still be eligible for a "no charge" in-warranty repair, but the device would need to go through the Samsung mail-in repair program. 1-800-SAMSUNG.
If checked in: The component must fail during IQC. Do not select "Pass" during any IQC test related to the failed part.
