MacBook Batteries: MacBook Battery Replacements: Prior to any price quotes or part installs check the voltage to the device. If it is reading 5V, then it is very unlikely a replacement battery will solve the issue. Proper steps for this would be to quote the customer as a no power MacBook diagnostic. See mailed out soldering repair section for more information. Please notate on the diagnostic form that it is stuck at 5V. If the device is reading 20V, then a battery replacement may resolve the issue. In this case, try (eg. "frankenstein") the battery before removing the original battery and adhering the new one.
