Overview
Not every store operates the same. However, every store has the same core set of responsibilities and tasks that need completed. This site is intended to ensure all managers are aware of those responsibilities and delegates them accordingly.
The following items are inherent to being a uBreakiFix manager. They may not be discussed very often, as they are so inherent to the position, however listing them here helps ensure they are not forgotten.
uBreakiFix Manager Basics
- Excellent Customer Service. Customers leave the store happy with the service we've provided.
- Portal Expertise. Assist with submitting tickets, proper work order management, ect.
- Staff Management. Ensure techs are aware of their responsibilities and are coached appropriately.
- Training. This includes repair best practices and knowledge, but also coaching on customer service and procedurial items.
- Lead by Example. Actively assist with and engage in daily core tasks, such as answering phones, performing repairs, assisting with customers, ect.
- Communication. This includes voicing pertinent information to all involved parties, such as: other managers, customers, techs, and ownership.
- Managers should have Slack running at your workstation. It does not need to be the main window, but it should be active. Certain channels can muted, and you can set away / pause notifications when you are not at work.

Store Responsibilities
Managers: Managerial functions should be split between the Store Manager and Assistant Manager as they see fit. The
updated form below should help ensure your store has the full range of responsibilities covered.
Technicians: Non-probationary store staff should be aware of how to complete the essential daily tasks. While the initial Portal trainings cover a large majority of these, core aspects can be missed if everyone is not following the same procedure(s).
I highly recommend implementing some checklists or method to ensure every store staff member is aware of what the expectations are. Micromanaging should not be necessary, as all basic functions should be clearly outlined. Below are some forms you may wish to implement in order to ensure that your staff is operating as a team. They can be routinely printed or laminated, but its advised that hard copies are easily found at your location.
